Main attraction of the Jonker street is its night market and it comes to life in full colour with a lively street party-like atmosphere

Malacca listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008 and Jonker Walk located in the heart of Malacca’s China town. The heaven of street food.  Taking a long walk through the streets could give you a foodgasam.  Travelers will get to view wide variety of items along both sides of the streets.

Jonker Walk is best known for chicken rice balls and cendols (Malaysia’s local desert). During every weekend this popular street transformed into an incredible market. Things will look extra cheap to you if you. Light bulb drink, watermelon bag, deep fried ice cream, jonker walk quail egg are some of the must try items. The market is crowded with visitors and tourist at night. There is always so much to see and eat.

I like Jonker Street but it can be too crowded on holidays like around Lunar New Year. Otherwise you can shop and also eat Ice Kacang or any other of the delicious shaved ice they serve.
