We were not able to get inside the monastery but the view outside was so beautiful that we were super happy.

Huge mountains stands as backdrop to the temple, with blue clear skies, and prayer flags dance in the wind. There were guard dogs at the place which barked so much during our visit (they were caged though). There are some small caves too on the way to the temple in which lots of small terracotta figures are present. Possibly for some kind of rituals or offerings.

The iron and wooden bridges across the Paro chu (Paro River) which you have to cross gives it's own adventure. It slowly moves when you walk on it and since you are able to see the water flowing down, it is kind of scary to walk on it. With its crystal clear waters, surrounding trees with orange, yellow, green leaves, and the warmth of the sun otherwise in a very cold climate, the visit was just perfect. If you are heading to Paro from Phuentsholing, do not miss this temple. Its just picture perfect place.
