What Visitors Say About Pura Tirta Empul
This temple has a purification pond. The belief if I remember correctly is that a dip in its waters will purify you of all the bad deeds. The water in the pond is super clear, with many offerings kept in its sides. You have to rent out sarongs from the temple entrance, otherwise you can't enter the temple. Architecturally, the temple looks great but there are plenty of other temples in Bali that are far more interesting. And like in many other temple in Bali, this one here too has a market attached to it near the parking spot. They sell clothes, handicrafts, oil and so on. Don't forget to bargain, they will ask for amounts that are ten times the actual value!
