Augusta National Golf Club sometimes referred to as Augusta or the National, is one of the most famous and exclusive golf clubs in the world. Augusta National was founded in 1932 by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts on the 365-acre site of a former nursery called Fruitland. Jones sought to create a world-class winter golf course in his native state of Georgia.
It was built by Jesuit priests and its first service was on December 2, 1900, in Augusta, Georgia.The Sacred Heart Cultural Center, known also as Sacred Heart Catholic Church, is an events center and a former Roman Catholic Church. It is also one of the more notable and recognized landmarks in the city.
