7 Attractions to Explore Near Phu Chi Fa Forest Park

Phu Chi Fa, also Phu Chee Fah, is a mountain area and national forest park in Thailand. It is located at the northeastern end of the Phi Pan Nam Range, 12 km to the southwest of Doi Pha Tang at the eastern edge of Thoeng District, Chiang Rai Province. The cliff is part of an elevated area, the Doi Pha Mon sub-range, that rises near the border with Laos sloping towards the Mekong River. The highest point of the ridge is 1628 m high Doi Pha Mon.

Phu Sang National Park is a national park in Northern Thailand. It is located in one of the north-easternmost mountain chains of the Phi Pan Nam Range bordering Laos. The sources of many rivers are in these mountains. The park also has caves with stalactites and stalagmites and a warm water waterfall, Namtok Wang Kaew.

The Wat Phra That Si Chom Thong is one of the oldest and most highly revered temples in North Thailand. According to local legend the Buddha once visited the hill where the temple now stands. Wat Si Khom Kham is a temple located in the centre of Mueang Phayao by Kwan Phayao. It is a 3rd class royal temple and selected model of a developed one. Local people call it “Wat Phrachao Ton Luang”, after the largest Buddha image in the Chiang Saen style of art in the Lanna Thai Kingdom.
