About Kapal Mochan
The ancient pilgrim site of Kapal Mochan is located on the Bilaspur Road near Ambala. The temple is small and situated beside a ‘sarovar’ or pond named Brahma Sarovar. It is said that if a person bathes here, they will be relieved of all burdens and sins. Legend holds that Brahmanhatya, i.e., killing a Brahmin is a major sin but the guilty can be freed of this upon bathing in the holy waters of Brahma Sarovar.
