The ancient pilgrim site of Kapal Mochan is located on the Bilaspur Road near Ambala. The temple is small and situated beside a ‘sarovar’ or pond named Brahma Sarovar. It is said that if a person bathes here, they will be relieved of all burdens and sins. Legend holds that Brahmanhatya, i.e., killing a Brahmin is a major sin but the guilty can be freed of this upon bathing in the holy waters of Brahma Sarovar.

Renuka Lake in the Sirmaur district is famous for its cultural and historical connection. The lake is located at an elevation of 672 m above sea level. Renuka Lake is the largest lake (area wise) in Himachal Pradesh, covering a circumference of about 3214 m.
