The area around the lake is full of hiking trails that lead to rushing waterfalls and even some hidden coves perfect for fishing or exploring.

Panther Creek Recreation Area is a great spot for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy. It consists of 10 acres which provide many opportunities for outdoor activities, including a fishing pier, hiking trails, kayaking, and camping sites. It is also the perfect place to relax, boasting scenic views and plenty of benches strategically placed around the lake. It also offers restrooms and picnic tables – making it an ideal spot for families or groups of friends to spend an afternoon together.

Cascade Falls, is an extensive series of large and small cascades that descent over a rock face to form a single-drop waterfall reaching up to 10 feet in some spots. A short seven minute trail with climbing stairs and crossing bridges leads visitors to the top of the stunning waterfall where they can admire the lush vegetation and wildflowers surrounding it. Adjacent to Cascade Falls is Warwoman Dell, a nature area filled with streams and trails.
