To reach Kenney Reservoir from Denver, take I-70 west to US285 south. US285 will turn into CO149 south. Follow CO149 south for about 33 miles until you reach the reservoir. There is a small parking area at the trailhead. From the parking area, it is about a 2 mile hike to reach the reservoir. 

The entrance fee is just $3 per vehicle, making it an affordable option for a day trip. Visitors can enjoy hiking, fishing, picnicking, and more. 

It is open from sunrise to sunset all year round. But beware of the season.
