The Kawuneeche Valley is one of the must-see areas of Rocky Mountain National Park. Adams Falls is one of the most popular attractions to take in in Grand County.It was essentially a tumbling cascade with a cumulative drop of around 50-60ft on the East Inlet, which was one of the major streams feeding the namesake Grand Lake.

Adams Tunnel which conveys water from the west side of the Continental Divide under the park to the east slope of the Rocky Mountains.

Timber Lake is a typical Rocky Mountain National Park day hike destination, situated on the slightly less busy west side of the mountains and reached by a 4.6 mile path starting from a large trailhead in Kawuneeche Valley, along US 34 just before the start of the steep climb towards Trail Ridge. Eventually, the trail enters a beautiful meadowland where moose and elk are frequent encounters. Soon after, Timber Lake Trail will cross the sometimes roaring Beaver Creek via an elevated bridge.
