Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum - 4 Things to Know Before Visiting

The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens are located in Lions Park in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Today, the 6,800 square foot conservatory consists of three greenhouses. The first is filled with tropical plants, herb and cacti gardens and a waterfall pond filled with Koi fish. The second is used primarily for growing vegetables, the third is focused on propagation of bedding plants and flowers for the botanic garden grounds and all flowers for the Cheyenne park system.

Sloans Lake, is a body of water, park, and neighborhood in Denver, Colorado, US. The neighborhood is located on the northwest side of Denver. The lake is the central feature of Sloan's Lake Park, which is managed by the Parks and Recreation division. Typical activities at the park include hiking, jogging and bicycling on the trails and sidewalks that surround the lake, and fishing and boating on the lake itself. The museum educates Guard members and the public about the heritage of Wyomings Army and Air National Guard both in peace and in times of war.The purpose of the museum is to showcase the history of the Wyoming National Guard. It houses the Wyoming Army and Air National Guards historical archives, photographs, film, and artifacts. The museum is a joint project between the Wyoming Military Department and the Wyoming Militia Historical Society.

The Dry Creek Greenway stretches across northern Cheyenne almost entirely from the east end of the city to the west end. The route connects residences and businesses and runs through several community parks. There are two trails that joins this trail, Yellowstone Road Greenway and Converse Avenue Greenway, with the intersections offering access access to other areas of the city.

The Wyoming State Capitol is the state capitol and seat of government of the U.S. state of Wyoming. Built between 1886 and 1890, the capitol is located in Cheyenne and contains the chambers of the Wyoming State Legislature as well as the office of the Governor of Wyoming. It was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1987. The architecture of the building is Renaissance Revival, reminiscent of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C.
