One of the 30 dams planned on river Narmada, Sardar Sarovar Dam is the largest structure to be built. It is one of the largest dams in the world. It is a part of the Narmada Valley Project.

One of the largest dam in the world. The statue of unity was situated nearby, facing to this dam.  The view from the dam is very beautiful.  They were planning to build a ropeway across the dam. The work was in the last stage. This dam is mainly used for electricity purpose.
