About Waterdunen natuurgebied

Waterdunen is a nature and recreation area under construction in West Zeeland Flanders. This 350-hectare nature and recreation area was created from 2012 on the site where the Napoleonhoeve campsite and a large arable area were previously located.Many migratory birds are expected in the future area, as it is located at a very strategic point. Many migratory birds make the crossing over the Western Scheldt from this location.

The lighthouse of Breskens is the oldest remaining cast-iron lighthouse in the Netherlands. It was built in 1867 and became a monument in 1982.The octagonal, black and white tower marks the entrance to the Westerschelde. The tower is 28.4 metres tall and consists of five stories. It is part of a series of lights marking the end of the Schelde river and guide traffic between the North Sea and the harbor of Antwerp.

Groede Podium is a wooded area located in the Proostpolder at Catsweg 3, north of the village of Groede , which was formerly also known as Het Vlaemsche Duyn .
