Museum Klok & Peel - 4 Things to Know Before Visiting

This is a former doctor's and artist's residence in the North Brabant village of Deurne , and has been in use as a municipal museum since the 1970s. The collection mainly consists of art painted by Wiegersma himself. In addition, works by other artists from the period 1900 to 1940 are displayed, including Charley Toorop and Isaac Israel.

The Strabrechtse Heide is a nature reserve of approximately 1500 ha in the Dutch municipalities of Heeze-Leende , Someren and Geldrop-Mierlo, largely managed by Staatsbosbeheer . The heath takes its name from the hamlet of Strabrecht near Heeze. In July 2010, around 200 hectares of the area were damaged or destroyed in a wildfire that took over a week to put out.

The Mariapeel is a raised bog -like nature reserve in the municipality of Horst aan de Maas in the Dutch province of Limburg . It is approximately 1400 hectares and is managed by Staatsbosbeheer . Together with Deurnese Peel and the Grauwveen , it has been a protected wetland since 1993 . As a Natura 2000 area it is known as Deurnsche Peel & Mariapeel . It has been designated as a Birds Directive Area and a Habitats Directive Area.
