The Oostersluis is the large lock between the Van Starkenborgh Canal and the Eems Canal , both CEMT-class Va. The lock is located on the east side of the city of Groningen , in the watershed between the basin of De Waterwolf and that of the Eemskanaal. The lock was built in the 1930s and rebuilt in the 1990s because it did not meet the requirements imposed on the lock in connection with the subsidence caused by gas extraction .

Oosterpark is a small park in the east of the city of Groningen . It is located in the district of the same name . Until 2005, the Oosterpark Stadium was located in the park. it is one of the iconic location in this area and also you can have many leisure activities here.

The Walfridus Bridge is a railway bridge north of Groningen over the Van Starkenborgh Canal and the N361 for the Groningen - Delfzijl railway line . The current bridge was built in 2003 and replaced a bridge from 1932. This bridge is double track and also has a cycle path.The bridge is named after Saint Walfrid. The bridge was built in Belgium by the steel builder Victor Buyck Steel Construction from Eeklo.

The Bevrijdingsbos is a forest on the edge of the city of Groningen near Noorddijk , between the Lewenborg district and the village of Garmerwolde. The forest was planted in 1995 at the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands , as a thank you and tribute to the Canadian liberators of Groningen in April 1945. Through the forest is a path with large stones from 10 different countries, with the Ten Rights of the Child on it.

The Prinsentuin is a garden built in renaissance style that is located in Groningen.  Behind the Prinsenhof,this Garden consists of a rose garden, a herb garden, a part with berceaus and a sundial on the wall above the entrance. On the side of the Turfsingel the garden is fenced of by a high wall. On one side you can still see a bit of the blu wall, that once stood optop of this wall.

GRID Graphic Museum Groningen is a museum in the Dutch city of Groningen that is dedicated to the graphic arts and crafts . It is also a training center for graphic techniques and regularly hosts exhibitions of graphic artists. Until the beginning of 2015, it was located in the Rivierenbuurt , near the Groningen main station . Since 2015, the museum has been located on Sint Jansstraat, next to the Martinikerk and the Grote Markt , with a view of Forum Groningen .
