PIER+HORIZON by Paul de Kort lies in the Zwarte Meer lake in the Noordoostpolder. This landscape artwork follows the line to Oud Kraggenburg, along what used to be a breakwater. Even before the draining of the Noordoostpolder in Flevoland, there was a 6km-long breakwater here extending into the water of the Zuiderzee (now the Zwarte Meer). It linked the lighthouse keeper’s house Oud Kraggenburg to the mainland at Genemuiden.

The Kleine Belterwijde is a lake in the northwest of the Dutch province of Overijssel. The west side of the lake is formed by the Arembergergracht . The national park is the largest continuous peat bog in northwestern Europe. Comprising the largest bog of Northwestern Europe, the park consists of two areas, De Weerribben and De Wieden; it has an area of roughly 100 square kilometres . The park was founded in 1992, although De Wieden was added later, in 2009.

The Belterwijde is a lake in the Kop van Overijssel southwest of Wanneperveen in the Dutch province of Overijssel. The lake is separated in an eastern and a western part by the Blauwehandseweg.
