Exposure is a piece of public art that is created to react to the changing environment. Due to the changes caused by global warming, the concern is that of rising of sea levels. This life-size statue is placed in the crypt of the Winchester Cathedral, one of the largest cathedrals in England. It is probably the most mysterious sculpture by Antony Gormley. Batavialand is a heritage park located on the coast of Lelystad that, in addition to a shipyard, also houses a museum. As of 1 July 2017, the park was created from a merger of the Bataviawerf, the Nieuw Land museum and the maritime archeology department of the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands. With great support from the province of Flevoland, which is investing 10 million in Batavialand, it should become the museum's main attraction in the province.

Nieuw Land National Park is the Netherlands’ most recent national park and was created entirely by man. The man-made park is quite literally on the bottom of what used to be the South Sea. The Oostvaardersplassen is a special wetland area between Almere and Lelystad. Thousands of geese and waterfowl, Heck cattle, Konik horses, red deer and foxes live here. Start a nice walking or cycling tour from the Oostvaarders Nature Experience Center and enjoy a nice lunch in the restaurant. Spot the animals in the nature reserve with the available binoculars or go out with the forester. With a bit of luck you can see the rare sea eagle.

The Dutch Early Birds Foundation aims to restore old aircraft and aircraft engines and rebuild old models. The foundation was founded in 1976 by Jaap van Mesdag and has a working museum that is located in a hangar at Lelystad Airport .Even before the foundation was established, a number of friends decided to refurbish a few rotary engines. In 2013, the collection has grown to 23 aircraft of different types.

Swifterkamp is a reconstructed prehistoric settlement in Flevoland . The camp is located just outside Lelystad , on the edge of Lelystad Nature Park . The camp consists of two prehistoric farms and a number of huts, all of which have been recreated after archaeological finds in the area. The Swifterbant culture is brought to life in the Swifter camp.
