Greenbank Garden is a 2.5-acre 18th century walled garden in Carolside, Clarkston, East Renfrewshire, Scotland, owned and operated by the National Trust for Scotland and open to the public. It is situated about six miles from the centre of Glasgow. The garden, which is included on the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland, surrounds Greenbank House, a Category A listed building. A majestic ruin of four storey, rectangular tower house built in 1449 by the powerful Maxwell family. Fernbrae Meadows is a public greenspace in South Lanarkshire, located on high ground to the south of Rutherglen, specifically directly south of the Fernhill neighbourhood. Pollok House is the ancestral home of the Stirling Maxwell family. It houses a large private collection of Spanish paintings, glass, silverware, porcelain and antique furnitures. The garden of the house has a collection of over 1,000 species of rhododendrons. The garden also contain a Beech tree which is thought to be 250 years old.

Dollan Aqua Centre is a 20th-century category A listed building in East Kilbride, Scotland. Designed by Alexander Buchanan Campbell and named after former Lord Provost Sir Patrick Dollan, it was opened in 1968 as Scotland's first 50-metre swimming pool. It consists principally of pre-stressed concrete and imitates a colossal marquee - the vaulted 324 ft parabolic arched roof appears to be held down by pairs of 'V' shaped-struts that meet the ground at a 30° angle.

A beautiful public park located on Darnley Road a half-mile east of Barrhead in East Renfrewshire. The park includes playing fields, tennis courts and a children's play area. A war memorial was unveiled in 1922. The area now occupied by the playing fields served as Barrhead Aerodrome between 1909-11. The avenue of lime trees near the bandstand was the gift of Provost Andrew Shanks to mark the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.
