Fernbrae Meadows is a public greenspace in South Lanarkshire, located on high ground to the south of Rutherglen, specifically directly south of the Fernhill neighbourhood. It is a proposed local nature reserve. The grasslands contain holcus lanatus, rough meadow-grass, meadow foxtail, bush vetch, common hogweed, sweet vernal-grass, meadow vetchling, broad-leaved dock, field forget me not, common sorrel and bracken.

The National Museum of Rural Life, previously known as the Museum of Scottish Country Life, is based at Wester Kittochside farm, lying between East Kilbride in South Lanarkshire and Carmunnock in Glasgow. The Museum combines an award-winning exhibition building, which houses the national country life collection and the historic working farm of Wester Kittochside with its Georgian farmhouse which exhibits the furniture and effects of the Reid family who farmed there for over 400 years.

The distance around the loch perimeter path is 1.2 kilometres. The Heritage Park is a Recognised Teaching Centre for the Scottish Canoe Association and Royal Yachting Association.

Overlee Playing Fields, is a public park in Stamperland, Clarkston, East Renfrewshire, south of Glasgow, Scotland. The Park contains four football pitches, a large playground, a woodland area and Overlee Family Centre, completed in 2021.

Gilbertfield Castle is a ruined 17th-century castle in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is located at NS652587, on the north slope of Dechmont Hill, just outside Cambuslang, to the south-east of Glasgow. The castle was built in the early 17th century, and the date 1607 is displayed on a heraldic panel above the door.
