Piazza IX Aprile is located right in the center of Corso Umberto. It is known for the breathtaking view of the azure Ionian Sea and of the Mount Etna. The most important building in the square is certainly the tower , known as the Clock. Built in the 12th century, it was destroyed several times over time, but was always rebuilt.
