The weather was chilling around the bridge so it's advisable to have warm clothes. The bridge has daily access on the EAST Sidewalk (side facing San Francisco). The hours vary seasonally and below are the rough timings: Pacific Standard Time: East Sidewalk hours are 5 am to 6:30 pm. Automatically-controlled gates close at 6:30 pm and reopen at 5 am. Daylight Savings Time: East Sidewalk hours are 5 am to 9 pm. Automatically-controlled gates close at 9 pm and reopen at 5 am.
