2 Mountain Passes to explore in Arunachal Pradesh
Arunachal Pradesh literally "land of dawn-lit mountains" is the northeasternmost state of India. It borders the states of Assam and Nagaland to the south. It shares international borders with Bhutan in the west, Myanmar in the east, and China in the north, with which the border is the McMahon Line. Itanagar is the state capital.z
Mayodia pass is located about 56 km from Roing in Arunachal Pradesh, with an elevation of 2,655 m above sea level. "Mayodia" is a Deori-Chutia word which stands for "shrine of mother goddess", "Mayo" means "mother goddess", "Di" means "water" and "Ya" means "land". It is a frequent domestic tourist attraction for the snow fall it receives during winters.
Sela Pass lake is a high-altitude mountain pass located on the border between the Tawang and West Kameng Districts of Arunachal Pradesh state in India. It has an elevation of 4170 m (13,700 ft) and connects the Indian Buddhist town of Tawang to Dirang and Guwahati. The pass carries the National Highway 13 connecting Tawang with the rest of India.
