Cliffed atop a hill, the dwarf hill station of Abbott Mount is snuggled in the Kali Kumaon region of Champawat district. This picturesque hill station is perched at an elevation of 6,400 feet and is encircled by a cluster of thirteen cottages, sprawling over five acres of woods.
Built by the rulers of the Chand dynasty, Baleshwar Temple is a marvelous symbol of stone carving. There are not any historical manuscripts that date the Baleshwar temple; however, it is believed to have been built between the 10th and 12th century AD.
Lohaghat is an immensely popular town, about 14 km from Champawat, and is known for its extremely rich and unspoiled natural beauty and historical relevance. Lohaghat is a place that comes to its full natural maturity in summers, especially when, on the banks of the Lohaghati river, rhododendron blooms are in full strength.
