Bewl Water is the largest stretch of open water reservoir in the South East. The 800 acre site is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, in the heart of the High Weald. Open all year, a visit to this stunning lake is fantastic family fun and great value. The reservoir was part of a project to increase supplies of water in the area. It supplies not only Southern Water’s customers in the Medway towns, Thanet and Hastings, but is also used by other water companies in the area.

The Black Devon is a river in Scotland. It rises in the Cleish Hills, specifically the area known as Outh Muir.It is a narrow and shallow river that holds wild brown trout, and also sees sea trout in winter months that come into the Firth of Forth, which is tidal as far as Stirling The river flows westwards through Balgonar, north of Saline, and then merges with the Saline Burn.

Blawhorn Moss is a rare survivor of the raised and blanket peat bogs that once covered much of Scotland. It is the largest and least disturbed raised bog in the Lothians, and has been a National Nature Reserve since 1980. The Brayford Pool is a natural lake formed from a widening of the River Witham in the center of the city of Lincoln in England. It was used as a port by the Romans – who connected it to the River Trent by constructing the Foss Dyke. The Brayford Waterfront is now one of the most vibrant and exciting parts of Lincoln. Brothers Water is in the Hartsop valley and is a small lake in the eastern region of the Lake District. Burncrooks reservoir is a man-made body of water that offers a picturesque walk as part of the John Muir Way between Balloch and Strathblane. There are good well maintained walking paths running around the lake with fine views to the Luss hills, Arrochar Alps and Ben Lomond.

Burrator Reservoir is situated within Dartmoor, and the tranquil water and surrounding mixed woodland contrast sharply with the open moor and the rugged Dartmoor tors. The reservoir is popular with walkers, cyclists, and horse riders due to its wealth of footpaths and bridleways. Many of the trails lead on to Dartmoor so it makes an ideal starting point for longer trips.

Caldecotte Lake lies off the H10 Bletcham Way, between the V10 Brickhill Street and the A5.
