Château of VincennesThe Château of Vincennes was used as a royal residence from the 12th to 18th century and it has preserved its medieval towers, the Sainte-Chapelle and the 14th century keep which is the highest of its kind in Europe. The building was surrounded by a 3608 ft -long fortified wall with nine towers and is also protected by a moat, 88 ft which was situated in the outskirts of the city center in the forest of Vincennes. It was one of the architectural wonders in this area.
