Chunchanakatte Waterfalls

Here the Kaveri river cascades from a height of about 20 meters. The uniqueness of this place is that sound can be heard all over. There is also a temple beside this waterfall.

Kabini Dam

Built on river Kabini, which is a major tributary of river Kaveri. The location is picturesque with lush green surroundings and the pristine river water flowing serenely towards its destination.

Karanji Lake

This lake was built as a percolation tank by the Mysore king, to serve as a drinking water source for the residents. Now the lake is part of the Mysore Zoo.

Kukkarahalli Lake

Spread over around 58 hectares with a shoreline of roughly five kilometers in Manasagangothri. It is a J shaped lake constructed in 1864, the lakes was the brainchild of Mummadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar.

Sri Chamundeshwari Devi Temple

Named after the goddess Chamundi. This temple situated at the top of the Chamundi hill. The main hill itself features an ancient stone stairway of 1008 steps. We can see the entire Mysuru city from this hilltop.
