217 diffrent rare species fo birds belonging to 48 families are found at this place.

One of the 20 important sanctuaries in India. The sanctuary is situated on an island that spans an area of 1.14 acres and it is surrounded by forest and river Tunga. Over 5,000 birds here during the peak season from July to September, boating can be taken for closer viewing of the nesting birds.
