One of the 20 important sanctuaries in India. The sanctuary is situated on an island that spans an area of 1.14 acres and it is surrounded by forest and river Tunga. Over 5,000 birds here during the peak season from July to September, boating can be taken for closer viewing of the nesting birds.
Also known as Pegion island situated near to the Muradeswar. It is a heart shaped island.

The bird sanctuary named after Sri Ranganatha Swamy is an island on the river Cauvery and it is spread on an area of 40 acres. the sanctuary includes 6 islands and was declared as a bird sanctuary in 1940.
Also known as coconut island, is a set of four small islands in the Arabian sea off the coast of Malpe. They are known for their distinctive geological formation of columnar basaltic lava.
