Silent Valley National Park, one of the last and rare undisturbed rainforests of the Western Ghat Mountains is located in the Nilgiri Hills in Palakkad District of Kerala State in Southern India. The park is completely enclosed by a ring of hills and remains an ecological island with its own unique micro-climate.

Thayyeni Koomban, translated to Thayyeni peak is a mountain peak in the Western Ghats mountain ranges. It is the highest peak in its vicinity and can be seen from 10-15 KM away. The top is located 850 meters above sea level and an exhausting hike through forest and grasslands is required to reach the peak.

Valliyoorkavu Bhagavathy Temple, the 14th-century temple dedicated to goddess Durga is located at the high hills of Valliyoorkavu, 3 KM’s from Mananthavady town in Wayanad district of Kerala. It is believed that the idol of the goddess is self-manifested. The temple is a prominent place of worship for tribal communities. The goddess manifests in three forms, ‘Vana Durga’ (forest goddess), ‘Jala Durga’(Water goddess) and ‘Bhadrakaali’ (The auspicious form of goddess Kali who protects the good).

Wayanad Churam (Wayanad Ghat Pass), popularly known as Thamarassery Churam connects Kozhikode and Wayanad districts of Kerala State in Southern India through national highway 212. The pass begins from Adivaram at the bottom of Kozhikode District and ends at Lakkidi at the top of Wayanad District. Wayanad Churam is located 800 meters above sea level and has a length of 18 kilometres.
