Crans-Montana

Crap Sogn Gion

Crap Sogn Gion is a mountain and cable car station located near Flims in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. Regarding the definition used in the Alps by the Swiss Alpine Club it cannot be called a mountain but only a location at the end of a ridge descending from the Vorab in the Glarus Alps. A very small hut of the Ski Club Flims was the first building on Crap Sogn Gion.

Cristallina

The Cristallina is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located in the Swiss canton of Ticino. It is situated between the valleys of Leventina, Val Bavona and Valle di Peccia the latter two belonging to the Valle Maggia. On the west side of the mountain is located the Passo Cristallina with the Cristallina Hut.

Damma Glacier

The Damma Glacier is a 2 km long glacier situated in the Urner Alps in the canton of Uri in Switzerland. In 1973 it had an area of 5.09 km². It is one of the beautiful places in this area suitable for trekking and also gives some beautiful views of this area.

Dammastock

The Dammastock is the highest mountain in the Urner Alps in Switzerland and is part of the Winterberg massif. Its summit ridge forms the border between the cantons of Uri and the Valais. It is the highest summit in the canton of Uri. The tripoint between the cantons of Berne, Valais, and Uri lies near the Eggstock, north of the Dammastock. Politically, the Dammastcok is split between the municipalities of Göschenen and Obergoms.

Dent Blanche

The Dent Blanche is a mountain in the Pennine Alps, lying in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. It is 4,357 metres -high, it is one of the highest peaks in the Alps. The summit of Dent Blanche is an important geographic place as it is the converging point of three ridges. The three valleys separated by them are the Val d'Hérens, Val d'Anniviers, and Mattertal. The respective villages of Evolène, Zinal, and Zermatt lie approximatively at the same distance as the mountain.

It has an altitude of 2,973 metres and is located between Munt Pers and Piz Trovat. At the top station, there is a restaurant with a panoramic terrace, as well as a hotel offering both hotel-class and bunk-style accommodations.

Dom

Dom, mountain peak, Valais canton, southern Switzerland. Part of the heavily glaciated Pennine Alps called the Valaisan Alps in Switzerland, it rises to 14,911 feet. The Dom is the third highest peak of the Alps, after Mont Blanc and Monte Rosa, and is the highest entirely in Switzerland. It was first climbed in 1858, by the British alpinist J.L. Davies.

Düssi

The Düssi is a mountain in the Glarus Alps in central Switzerland, located on the border between the cantons of Uri and Graubünden. Its massif separates the valleys of Maderanertal and Val Russein. The summit is also named Gross Düssi to distinguish it from a lower summit to the south named Chli Düssi . The Düssi is surrounded by glaciers, the Ober Hüfifirn on its northern side. The largest on its south-eastern side is the Glatscher da Cavrein.

The Ebenalp is the northernmost summit of the Appenzell Alps. The mountain is a popular hiking destination and has been accessible by cable car from Wasserauen since 1955. From the high plateau of the cable car station, visitors have a panoramic view of the rolling hills of Appenzell. Impressive trails start at the station and lead to a network of mountain huts. The Eggflue is 688 m above sea level. M. one of the peaks of a wooded mountain ridge, which bears the name Blauen as one of several mountains in this region. On the northern slope towards Pfeffingen, the mountain drops steeply, so that there is a panoramic view over the western part of the canton of Basel-Landschaft and over the canton of Basel-Stadt to Lörrach.

Eggishorn

The Eggishorn is a mountain in the southeastern part of the Bernese Alps, located north of Fiesch in the Swiss canton of Valais. A cable car station is located on a secondary summit named Fiescherhorli, 500 meters south of the main peak. The Eggishorn lies within the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn region, which in 2001 was designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. On its northern flank is the Aletsch Glacier. From the summit, the view extends also to the Lepontine and Pennine Alps.

Engstligenalp

The Engstligenalp is a plateau of the western Swiss Alps. It lies south of Adelboden at 1900 – 2000 m above sea level. Since 1996 it has belonged to the Swiss culture landscapes of national importance. It is covered by alpine pastures and crossed by numerous mountain streams springing from the slopes. The Fänerenspitz is the northernmost Swiss pre-Alpine summit, rising over 1500 meters. It is located in the municipality of Rüte between Eggerstand and Brülisau in the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden. The Fänerenspitz is referred to locally as d'Fänere. The Fänerenspitz can be easily reached on foot and is ideal for snowshoe tours and even for a ski tour in high winter when the snow conditions in the mountains are too dangerous.
