Pony Express Monument

The Pony Express Monument is an impressive sight to behold. It's a nod to the bygone era when telephones, emails, and instant messaging didn't exist, and people had to rely on horses to deliver their messages. The monument stands tall at 26 feet, with a statue of a rider and horse at the top, triumphantly holding out a piece of mail. However, let's not forget that the Pony Express was also a result of the exploited labor of young men.

This little corner of town is chock full of local treasures from the late 1800s and early 1900s. From restored storefronts and period-correct facades to impressive displays of frontier-era artifacts, there's something for everyone here. Personally, I couldn't get enough of the museum's collection of antique guns and weapons.
