Brighton Recreation Area is a crowd-pleaser. With its large array of activities including camping, fishing, boating and swimming, there is something for everyone. Boaters will enjoy the easy access to Pretty Lake and Forlorn Lakes for days of motorized or no-motorized fun. Fishermen will find an abundance of bass and panfish from the park docks and waterside beach areas. Campers have their choice of sites with beautiful foliage along scenic loops.
Huron Meadows Metropark, is an incredible park boasts over 700 acres of outdoor fun like fishing, paddling, and swimming in over two miles of lakefront as well as hiking available along the many nature trails that surround the lake. There are also 2 playgrounds and 2 picnic shelters perfect for families to take advantage of. Golfers can enjoy the 18-hole championship golf course which offers a variety of challenges due to its many bunkers, trees and elevation changes.
Mike Levine Lakelands Trail State Park, is a popular destination for hikers and bikers alike. The park features 25 miles of trails for biking and hiking, complete with stunning landscapes and an abundance of nature. Along the way you can also take in some of the historical artifacts like old railroads, train cars and depots while exploring the park. For those interested in fishing there are lakes located throughout the park where you can find bass, catfish, panfish or walleye.
Pinckney Recreation Area, is a popular spot for outdoor recreation and relaxation. With over 10,000 acres of lakes, rivers and woodlands, there is something to please everyone. Visitors can partake in activities such as biking and hiking along the many trails or fishing at one of the park's six glacial lakes - Base Line, Crooked, Halfmoon and Zukey Lakes - all teeming with bass, panfish and trout.
