Gore Canyon is an isolated is a 3-mile isolated canyon along the upper Colorado River, just southwest of Kremmling. The Colorado descends from approximately 7,300 ft to approximately 7,000 ft over the length of the canyon. The steep walls ascend approximately 1,000 ft on either side. The canyon effectively marks the southwestern end of the Middle Park basin in north central Colorado.

Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. There’s also some nice OHV trails in the area.
