About Jackson County

Jackson County is located in a beautiful sub-alpine valley in Northern Colorado. It is home to the headwaters of the North Platte River and is also known as the Moose Viewing Capital of Colorado. It is one of the northernmost counties in Colorado and the fourth-least densely populated county with only 1,394 residents as of 2010.

The Nokhu Hut and Agnes Hut, managed by Never Summer Nordic, sit near the base of Braddock and provide shelter for overnight adventures in this area.
