Lamphier Lake is a glacial tarn that was scooped out of the surrounding rock during the last ice age. Its trailhead serves as access for Henry Mountain located in the Fossil Ridge Wilderness. The same trail also leads to Gunsight Pass. The lake is 2.77 miles from the parking area. Fossil ridge is behind the lake.

Lizard Lake is a 5-acre lake with an unknown depth along Crystal City Road. It is located within the boundaries of the White River National Forest, between Marble and the ghost town of Crystal, along Crystal City Road. The lake has views of Whitehouse Mountain, and is near Sheep Mountain and Hat Mountain. The use of motor boats is prohibited on the lake.

The Lupine trail system lies on the North side of Slate River road just a short ride from downtown Crested Butte. Relatively new to the trail network, the two sections of Lupine were built in 2011 and 2012.Keep in mind this is a very popular mountain bike trail, especially on weekends. The trail can be hiked one way, with a shuttle from either end, but there is no parking allowed in the Saddle Ridge subdivision or on Gothic road.

The pass carries U.S. Highway 50 over the Sawatch Range, providing a route between Tomichi Creek in the upper basin of the Gunnison River on the west and the South Arkansas River, a tributary of the Arkansas River, on the east. The pass is widely considered one of the most scenic in Colorado, offering a panoramic view of the southern end of the Sawatch Range from the summit.

Napoleon Pass is a high mountain pass in the Sawatch Range of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The pass is the saddle between Napoleon Mountain to the west and Fitzpatrick Peak to the east and divides the watersheds of Middle Willow Creek to the north and Quartz Creek to the south. Napoleon Pass is traversed by Forest Trail 540 and can be accessed from the towns of Tincup to the north and Pitkin to the south.

Quartz Creek is a stream in Gunnison County, Colorado. It rises in the Rocky Mountains above the town of Pitkin, Colorado. The stream rises in the Gunnison National Forest and is formed by the merger of the North, Middle, and South Quartz creeks. It flows through the Quartz Creek Valley and through the towns of Pitkin and Ohio City. Ironically, most of the land along Quartz Creek in the valley is privately held, so there is little public fishing there.

Rustler Gulch Trail is a scenic valley hike that displays an abundance of wild flowers, a waterfall and gorgeous surrounding landscapes. The trailhead starts through a field of flowers and continues through the woods. It follows a river that you will have to cross several times. I would recommend wearing water-resistant shoes, as the water is very high in some points and you will have to walk through it.
