Dekema State

Dekema State is a state and museum in Jelsum in the Dutch province of Friesland. The state is designed "as if the residents have gone away for a while" and that in the time of just before the Second World War . De Fluessen is a lake in the municipalities of Súdwest-Fryslân and De Friese Meren , in the Dutch province of Friesland. It is the second largest lake in Friesland after the Tjeukemeer and is located northeast of De Holken . The lake changes into the Heegermeer in the northeast. There are a few islands in the lake , of which the Langehoekspolle is the largest. A concrete shipping route runs through the middle of the lake, which is part of the Johan Friso Canal.

The Fogelsangh State is a 17th-century state in the Frisian village of Veenklooster . The state forms the core of the 180 hectare estate of the same name. It was founded about 1650 by Dirck Fogelsangh near the former site of the Premonstratensian monastery Mons Oliveti (the Mount of Olives) that was closed in 1580. In the 18th and 19th centuries the state was repeatedly renovated, giving the Fogelsangh state its current neoclassical appearance.

The Fries Landbouwmuseum is a museum on the south side of the city of Leeuwarden with the theme of agriculture. The farmhouse was built in a transitional style in 1908 by order of the Sint Anthonygasthuis to a design by Willem Cornelis de Groot. The bell of Saint Anthony is depicted on a stone in the facade of the house . The building is a national monument. The collection consists of 6000 objects, many of which are agricultural implements.

The collection of the Fries Museum consists of 1 million objects and is dedicated to arts, crafts, and history from the years 1200 to 2000. Around 8000 objects are currently on display in the museum. The most iconic objects in the museum are the Hindelooper Room, the Popta Treasure and the legendary sword of Grote Pier.

The Kroon's Polders on the western part of the Wadden island of Vlieland were created between 1920 and 1925 at the initiative of the dune warden, later supervisor at Rijkswaterstaat Jan Wouter Kroon. Between 1898 and 1905 a number of drift dikes had been constructed close to the already existing Meeuwenduinen on the western part of Vlieland in order to enlarge the narrowing strip of dunes.

Meadow birds such as curlew, black-tailed godwit, oystercatcher, ruff, lark, lapwing, yellow wagtail and partridge nested here until the beginning of the 21st century.

The agricultural collection is housed in an original farmhouse from 1899 and includes agricultural implements as well as household objects from the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Lemmer Beach

A beautiful beach located in the lakeside resort of Lemmer is on the east shore of Lake IJsselmeer. Amenities at the beach include play structures for kids, public toilets and free parking. Bikes can be hired in the town. swimming is allowed here and also wind surfing. unfortunately sailing and surfing are not permitted.
