The Triumphal Arch is one of Innsbruck 's most famous sights . It is located at the southern end of today 's Maria-Theresien-Strasse , at that time the southern end of the city. This triumphal arch was built in 1765 on the occasion of the marriage of Archduke Leopold , the second son of Empress Maria Theresa and Franz Stephan von Lothringen , to the Spanish princess Maria Ludovica on August 5, 1765.
