Sutton Park is a 2,400 acre National Nature Reserve located 6 miles north of the city centre. It’s one of the largest urban parks in Europe and is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The park covers more than 2,400 acres according to one source, or 2,200 acres according to another. It consists of a mix of heathland, wetlands and marshes, seven lakes, extensive ancient woodlands , several restaurants, a private 18-hole golf course and so more.

The Barber Institute of Fine Arts is an art gallery and concert hall in Birmingham, England. It is situated in purpose-built premises on the campus of the University of Birmingham. Home to ‘one of the finest small art galleries in Europe’, and a concert hall with ‘perfect acoustics, comfort, and rest for the eye.

The Birmingham Botanical Gardens are a 15-acre botanical garden situated in Edgbaston, Birmingham, England. The site is notable for its range of glasshouses and gardens, which display a wide variety of plants and birds. Birmingham Botanical Gardens is managed by Birmingham Botanical and Horticultural Society, a registered charity. The gardens are open daily to the public with paid admission.

It is the home of the Garman Ryan Collection, an impressive and intimate collection of paintings, sculpture and objects assembled by Kathleen Garman and Sally Ryan, and given to the town in 1973.

Thinktank, Birmingham is a science museum in Birmingham, England. Opened in 2001, it is part of Birmingham Museums Trust and is located within the Millennium Point complex on Curzon Street, Digbeth. it has more than 200 hands-on exhibits over four floors and a state-of-the-art Planetarium. Thinktank also offers a huge programme of educational activities for children and families including workshops, classes, laboratory sessions and interactive science shows.

Victoria Square is a public square in the city of Birmingham and quite possibly the most beautiful of them all. The War Memorial Park is a large park of about 48.5 hectares in southern Coventry, England. The park was opened in July 1921 as a tribute to the 2,587 Coventrians who died between 1914 and 1918 fighting in the First World War. The landscaped gardens and sports areas were created in the late-1920s and 1930s, and the most prominent structure in the park is the city's war memorial monument, built in 1927.

Warley Woods is a 100-acre public park in the Warley district of Smethwick, in Sandwell, in the West Midlands of England. It was a a mix of woodland, open meadow and a nine hole golf course. The small stream which once ran through the site is now filled in. The park holds a Green Flag Award. The site has been managed since 2004 by Warley Woods Community Trust which is committed to its long term improvement and maintenance.

Woodgate Valley Country Park is a 450 acre area of countryside in the centre of Bartley Green and Quinton. There are many mixed, mature hedgerows, meadows, woodland, and small ponds. The Bournbrook runs through the park. It is a place where visitors to go for a leisurely walk, observe wildlife, walk the dog or ride horses. Visitors can also get away from the noise, traffic and buildings of the city.

The Worcester and Birmingham Canal runs from the centre of Birmingham through beautiful country side to the the heart of the cathedral City of Worcester. The canal is 29.5 miles long with 58 locks. The canal bustled with barges carrying freight in and out night and day. Nowadays tourist boats keep the canals busy.

The Wren's Nest is a geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in the Dudley Metropolitan Borough, north west of the town centre of Dudley, in the West Midlands of England. It is one of the most important geological locations in Britain. The site is home to a number of species of birds and locally rare flora, such as Scabiosa columbaria, milkwort and quaking grass. The caverns are also a nationally important hibernation site for seven different species of bat.
