Agden Reservoir is a water storage reservoir, situated at grid reference SK260925, 6.5 miles west of the centre of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is owned by Yorkshire Water which is part of the Kelda Group. The reservoir covers an area of 25 hectares and has a capacity of 559 million gallons of water, the dam wall has a width of approximately 350 metres with a height of 30 metres.

Bishops' House is the oldest surviving timber-framed house in Sheffield. The hill known as Carl Wark lies close to Higgar Tor between Stanage and Burbage Edges. It rises high above Burbage Brook and is a fine natural defensive position, so it was used as a fort long ago. The cliffs and embankment form an enclosure that has been interpreted as an Iron Age hill fort, though the date of construction and purpose of the fortifications remains unknown.

Clifton Park Museum is located close to the centre of Rotherham in South Yorkshire. The building dates from 1783 and was originally the home of the Walker Family, a local firm of iron founders. It tells the story of Rotherham from earliest times to the present day. Exhibits include Roman artefacts from the local Templeborough Fort; the renowned Rockingham ceramics collection from nearby Swinton, including the 1.2 metre tall Rhinoceros Vase which, when it was fired in 1826.

The buildings were originally used for various industries including ironworks and forges, a distillery, and engineering workshops.

Elsecar Heritage Railway is South Yorkshire’s only Heritage Railway. Established in the early 90's, when Barnsley Council re-opened the former colliery workshops at Elsecar as a tourist attraction, the former colliery line at Elsecar has been reopened as a heritage railway.
