Southport Pier was first opened in 1860 with an original length of 4,380 ft and it is the second longest pier in Britain. The pier has been host to famous entertainers, including Charlie Chaplin in the early 20th century. It was visited by steamliners in its heyday, but silting of the channel meant that by the 1920s very few steamers were able to reach the pier, and the service ceased in 1929.

The Tate Liverpool is an art museum, part of the Tate network, housed in a former warehouse located in the Albert Dock historical site on Liverpool's waterfront. An iconic statue of the Fab Four, of the Beatles in their hometown. Donated by the famous Cavern Club, the placement of the statue coincides with the 50 year anniversary of the band's last gig played in Liverpool. The figures are larger than life-size and weigh 1.2 tonnes in total. They were sculpted by Andrew Edwards who also created the All Together Now Christmas Truce WWI statue.

Superlambanana is a bright yellow sculpture in Liverpool, England. Weighing almost 8 tonnes and standing at 5.2 metres tall, it is intended to be a cross between a banana and a lamb and was designed by New York City-based Japanese artist Taro Chiezo. It currently stands in Tithebarn Street, outside the LJMU Avril Robarts Library/Learning Resource Centre, having previously been located on Wapping near the Albert Dock.
