Anglezarke Reservoir

Anglezarke Reservoir is the largest of the reservoirs in Lancashire lake district. nestling on the edge of the West Pennine moors. Anglezarke has an area in excess of 190 acres and supplies Wigan with its drinking water. Its surrounding is so beautiful and it attracts a lot of tourists here.

Fairhaven Lake

Fairhaven Lake is a lovely area on the seafront, where you can enjoy walks, fresh air and watching the wildlife. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and open green spaces, it’s where the Irish Sea meets the estuary of the River Ribble. In Autumn the lake is a very busy stopping off area for migrating birds and there’s a popular RSPB Centre which is free to visit where you can find out about the latest sightings.
