Beacon Hill National Nature Reserve is a prominent chalk hill at the western end of the South Downs National Park. Situated halfway between Winchester and Petersfield. It is a Nature Conservation Review site, and an area of 40.1 hectares is a National Nature Reserve. There is a round barrow cemetery dating to the Late Neolithic or Bronze Age on the hill, and this is a Scheduled Monument.

Bolderwood provides an ideal setting for visitors to find out more about the famous herd of Fallow deer, which live in and around the area and explore the historical connection to the Crown.

Butser Ancient Farm is a unique experimental archaeology site nestled into the rolling countryside of the South Downs National Park. The site is used as both a tourist attraction and a site for the undertaking of experimental archaeology. Butser features experimental reconstructions of prehistoric, Romano-British and Anglo-Saxon buildings. Examples of Neolithic dwellings, Iron Age roundhouses, a Romano-British villa and an early Saxon house are on display.

Hurst Spit is a shingle bank at the easternmost point of Christchurch Bay and extends 2.5km from the end of Milford beach out into the Solent. At the end of the spit is Hurst Castle, an artillery fortress originally built on the orders of King Henry VIII, and much enlarged in the 19th century. Hurst Point Lighthouse was built on the end of Hurst Spit in the 1860s.

Itchen Valley's 440 acres of beautiful water meadows, woodland, and meadows been recognized by the award of a Green Flag for the past four years. The rural beauty of the park through the seasons can be enjoyed along the paths and trails taking you through woodland, water meadows, pasture, and hayfields. There are a number of facilities for children, including a play area and a play trail. The Itchen Way footpath borders the park.

Lakeside Country Park is made up of 22 hectares of lakes, wet meadow and woodland situated along Wide Lane between Eastleigh and Southampton. Manor Farm is a sequel to the widely acclaimed Animal Farm by George Orwell that covered tumultuous events during the early twentieth century. It is part of Solent and Southampton Water Ramsar site and Special Protection Area, and of Solent Maritime Special Area of Conservation. Part of it is in Upper Hamble Estuary and Woods, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

It is the ideal place to explore, keep fit and enjoy the great outdoors With over 2,000 acres of downland and woodland. The woodland was mostly planted in the 1930s; it consists mainly of beech trees. Several Long-distance footpaths run through the park including Staunton Way, Hangers Way and the South Downs Way bridleway. On a clear day the Isle of Wight can be seen from the top of Butser Hill.

The Royal Victoria Country Park is a country park in Netley, Hampshire, England, by the shores of Southampton Water. It comprises 200 acres of mature woodland and grassy parkland, as well as a small shingle beach. The park’s ancient woodlands, large open spaces, boardwalks, and ponds offer something for everyone. There are a number of picnic areas throughout the site and family BBQ areas can be hired.

Staunton Country Park is a listed Regency landscaped parkland and forest encompassing approximately 1,000 acres in Hampshire, England. An ornamental farm, ornamental lake, follies, maze, walled garden, and glasshouses can be found within it. Entry to the parkland itself is free, however, there is an associated visitor center, with animals and attractions, which is not free.

Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve is a wetland nature reserve with a rich habitat of rivers, marshlands, and scrapes.
