Fehmarn Sound BridgeThe Fehmarn Sound Bridge connects the German island of Fehmarn in the Baltic Sea with the German mainland near Großenbrode. It was declared a historic monument in 1999 by the State Office for Protection of Historical Monuments of Schleswig-Holstein in Kiel, and has since become a symbol of both Fehmarn and Schleswig-Holstein.
Rendsburg High BridgeThe Rendsburg High Bridge is a more than 8,000 feet long railway bridge that crosses the Kiel Channel. Designed by Friedrich Voss, the bridge was constructed between 1911 and 1913 and cost around 14 million marks to complete. The railway line that runs across the bridge also ventures through a loop that allows it to service the Rendsburgh station.
