4 Mountain Peaks to Explore in Saxony-Anhalt

The Bocksberg in the Upper Harz is about 727 m above sea level high local mountain of the Goslar district Hahnenklee-Bockswiese in the district of Goslar in Lower Saxony. Its summit is 1.2 km east-southeast of Hahnenklee and 1.2 km northeast of Bockswiese, which together form the Goslar district of Hahnenklee-Bockswiese; the Goslar core city is 7.4 km to the northeast. On the summit of the Bocksberg there is a restaurant and a wooden observation tower that was built in 1976.

Its summit is located due south of the Brocken and roughly 400 m south of the state border with Saxony-Anhalt. The two mountains are separated by the valley of the Kalte Bode, which in this area is about 660 m above NN.
