Zoos to Explore in Centre-Val de Loire
The Haute Touche Zoological Park is a zoo and safari park in France which was established in 1958 and opened to the public in 1980. There are around 920 animals from 85 species which was roaming around 480 hectares of land and it also has a remarkable collection of Deers. The vast size of the park, allows the animals to be presented in roomy enclosures. There is a very good 'monkey island' that will amuse the kids, young and old.
A beautiful zoo which was ranked among the 10 best zoos in the world. It has the greatest diversity of wildlife in France, around 8,000 animals including two giant pandas in 40 hectares of land. It has been the first zoo in France to present leucistic big cats, white tigers and white lions. There is also a hotel inside the zoo which provides accommodation facilities and also it has the largest bird collection too. The Zoo is located in the Loir-et-Cher department, in the heart of France.
