Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception at Boulogne-sur-Mer

A majestic Basilica which was located in the Boulogne-sur-Mer in the Pas-de-Calais département of northern France. it was one of the prominent landmarks of this area and this basilica also presents one of the largest crypts in France, built during the construction of the building around the old Romanesque crypt rediscovered during the construction site. There are so many sculptures, statues, paintings and so more to see in this church and this basilica is today a Mecca of tourism in Boulogne.

Église catholique Notre-Dame de Calais

The Church of Our Lady of Calais dated xiv th and xvi th centuries. It has been classified as a historical monument since 1913. A rectangular-shaped church with two front towers for the entrance. During the revolution, the church was transformed into a temple dedicated to the cult of Reason and into a warehouse to then be returned to Catholic worship in 1802. Now it is one of the main pilgrimage centers in this area and also a nice tourist attraction.

Ruins of St. Bertin Abbey

These are the ruins of the abbey of Saint Bertin which collapsed due to a bombardment in 1943. It was a Benedictine abbey, but today in ruins and open to the public. It was dedicated to its second abbot, Saint Bertin. It has a lot of history to say and it will be a worth visit.

Saint Maurice Catholic Church at Lille

The striking Église Saint-Maurice, situated in the historic center of Lille, has been subject to a number of makeovers from its genesis in the Middle Ages to the last extension of the city in 1868. The interior houses a number of 17th and 18th-century paintings by artists from the city. The central chapel is dedicated to Sainte-Barbe, patroness of the Lille artillerymen whose story visitors can discover in the museum nearby. The construction of the actual church took more than 400 years.

Valloires Abbey

A beautiful and majestic abbey which was located in Argoules in the green valley of Authie. It was built in the 12th century. The surroundings of this abbey were very beautifully maintained with no fewer than 5,000 varieties of plants and shrubs. In August, the abbey hosts an international chamber music festival, the Valloires festival. One of the mice location which is famous among all type of peoples.
