Parks to Explore in Hessen
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a landscape park in Kassel city. The park area is 2.4 square kilometers, and it is the largest European hill slope park and second-largest worldwide. Construction of the park started in 1689 and took about 150 years. The park is open to the public and it stretches up to the Karlsberg mountain with the Hercules monument on the summit at 526.2 meters (1,726 ft).
This is a public park in Wiesbaden center, stretching from the Wilhelmstraße to the southern borders of Sonneberg district and lying directly behind the Kurhaus convention center. The Kurpark was created in 1852 as an English landscape park, and it includes a lake with rental boats and a 6-meter high fountain.
It is one of the three botanical gardens in Frankfurt, Germany, located in the Westend-Süd district with 22 hectares. The botanical exhibits are organized according to their origin in free-air or climatized greenhouses, which also contain numerous tropical and subtropical plants.
