Pigne d'Arolla

Pigne d'Arolla is a mountain in the Pennine Alps in Switzerland. The first ascent was made by A. W. Moore and Horace Walker with the guide Jakob Anderegg on 9 July 1865. It is commonly climbed as part of the Haute Route. It is an excellent ski mountain, that is often climbed on the famous Haute Route that leads from Saas-Fee - Zermatt to Chamonix.

Plaine Morte

Plaine Morte is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, located on the border between the Swiss cantons of Bern and Valais. It overlooks the large and flat glacier named Plaine Morte Glacier, from the south-west side. It is part of the Crans-Montana ski area and can be easily accessed by a cable car via Les Violettes. Pollux

Pollux is a mountain in the Pennine Alps on the border between Valais, Switzerland, and the Aosta Valley in Italy. It is the lower of a pair of twin peaks, the other being Castor, named after the Gemini twins of Roman mythology. Pollux' peak is at an elevation of 4,092 m. It is separated from Castor by a pass at 3,847 m. One of the adventurous trekking destinations in this area. The first ascent was by Jules Jacot from Geneva with guides Josef-Marie Perren and Peter Taugwalder on August 1, 1864

Täschhorn

The Täschhorn is a mountain in the Pennine Alps in Switzerland, lying south of the Dom within the Mischabel range. The first ascent of the mountain was by John Llewelyn Davies and J. W. Hayward with guides Stefan and Johann Zumtaugwald and Peter-Josef Summermatter on 30 July 1862. It was one of the nice trekking destinations and also a nice camping area too.

The Val d'Anniviers, a landscape of Alpine wilderness, is one of the most beautiful of the seven large transverse valleys in the Valais and definitely worth a visit. At Sierre, toward the south, it branches off from the Rhone Valley and forms in the upper section two side valleys, Val de Moiry in the west and Zinaltal in the east. The end of the valley is skirted by a mountain range called “Grande Couronne”. it was one of the picturesque locations in this area and is also famous for trekking too

Val d’Hérens

Val d'Hérens is an alpine valley in the Valais canton of Switzerland. It was formed by the Hérens glacier, which retreated at the end of the last ice age. It is now the valley of the Borgne river, a tributary of the Rhone. It extends from the Rhône valley to a number of high mountains - Dent Blanche, Dent d'Hérens, Mont Collon, Mont Blanc de Cheilon. It is a popular start point for mountain expeditions.

Val Ferret

Val Ferret is the name of the two separate valleys, departing from the Col Ferret on the border between Italy and Switzerland, on the southern and eastern sides of the Mont Blanc Massif. The Swiss valley drains northeastwards towards Orsières and on into the Rhône basin; whereas the Italian valley drains southwestwards towards Courmayeur and on into the Po basin. The two valleys are connected by a mountain footpath through Col Ferret which forms part of the 170 kilometres circular Tour du Mont

Weisshorn

The Weisshorn is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, located on the border between the Swiss cantons of Bern and Valais. It lies on the main chain of the Bernese Alps, between the Rawil Pass and the Plaine Morte Glacier. A cable car connects the summit from Iffigenalp, south of Lenk in the canton of Bern. Weissmies is a prominent mountain surrounding the famous Saas valley in Wallis, Switzerland. Weissmies is one of the 82 mountains above 4000 meters in the Alps and therefore a popular objective for climbers. “Mies” is a local dialect for the German word “moos” which translates into “moss”. So the name “Weissmies” literally means “white moss”, which refers the glaciated summit of the mountain, resembling a white moss-like cover. Wildstrubel

The Wildstrubel Glacier is a 2.3 km long valley glacier in the Bernese and Valaisan Alps. The glacier ends at about 2,550 m above sea level, forms the source of the Lämmerenbach which flows to the lake Daubensee near the Gemmi Pass. Wildstrubel has three summits, that are nearly of same elevation. The summits are connected by a bent ridge of length about 3.5 km, which invites for a traverse. One of the nice trekking destination and also a beautiful place to spend some nice time.
