The Niederbauen-Chulm is a mountain of the Urner Alps, overlooking Lake Lucerne in Central Switzerland. Its 1,923 metre high summit is located on the border between the cantons of Nidwalden and Uri.

The ski lifts of the ski resort Disentis 3000 go up as high as 2800 meters, just below the summit of the Piz Ault. A popular stop in the summer and winter is the hut of the Swiss Alpine Club Camona da Cavardiras west of the mountain, on the other side of the Brunni Glacier.

It is the site of the Rütlischwur in traditional Swiss historiography, the oath marking the foundation of the original Swiss Confederacy. As such it is treated as a national monument of Switzerland. Since 1860, the Schweizerische Gemeinnützige Gesellschaft has organized a celebration at the site on Swiss National Day, since 1994 recognized as a public holiday.

Salbitschijen 2981 m is a granite peak belonging to the Urner Alps and overlooking Göschenental in the Swiss district of Uri, central Switzerland. The Schächental is an alpine valley of Uri, Switzerland, formed by the river Schächen. The valley stretches to the east of Altdorf for some 10 km. Situated in the Schächental are the municipalities of Bürglen, Spiringen and Unterschächen. The valley terminates in the Klausenpass, which connects to the Urner Boden, leading towards Glarus. Gross Schärhorn 3295m is a famous mountain in Switzerland, in the canton Uri, located in the Uri Alps Group. It stands close by the Klausen Alpine pass and at the end of the Maderaner valley.
