Nidelva is a river in Trondheim Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The name of the 30-kilometer long river translates to "the River Nid" since the suffix Elva or elven is the Norwegian word for "river". It starts at the Hyttfossen waterfall which rises from Bjørsjøen.

The NTNU University Museum is one of seven university museums in Norway and forms part of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, abbreviated as NTNU. The Museum is located at Kalvskinnet in the center of Trondheim, along with its exhibitions, collections, administration, and three of its departments; the Department of Archaeology and Cultural History; the Section for Exhibitions and Events; and the Department of Natural History.

A statue of Olav Tryggvason is located in Trondheim, Norway. Sculpted by sculptor Wilhelm Rasmussen, it honors King Olav Tryggvason who was the city's founder. Ruten is a mountain in Trøndelag county, Norway. The 1,040-meter tall mountain is located on the border of the municipalities of Heim and Rindal. The mountain stands about 8 kilometers southeast of the village of Vinjeøra in Heim. This is the highest point in the municipality of Heim. Selbusjø or Selbusjøen is the 17th largest lake in Norway. Skarvan and Roltdalen National Park represent a virtually untouched area of mountain and forest, typical for the region. tiftsgården is the official Royal Residence in Trondheim, where the Royal Family lives if they are visiting the city or the region of Trøndelag. The building is a magnificent example of 18th architecture. It was built between 1774 and 1778 for Lady Cecilie Christine Schøller (1720-1786), an ambitious widow of chamberlain Stie Tønsberg Schøller. It was one of the key attractions in this area.

tiklestad National Cultural Center, abbreviated SNK, is a museum at Stiklestad in Verdal in Nord-Trøndelag. It is a national hub institution with special responsibility for disseminating knowledge about Olav the Holy, the Battle of Stiklestad, and the part of Norwegian history that is linked to the events at the site.

The Tarva islands are an archipelago in the municipality of Ørland in Trøndelag county, Norway. The largest and only populated island is Husøya and the other larger islands are Været and Karlsøya. There are also many smaller surrounding islets and skerries. The islands are located about 8 kilometers west of the village of Nes on the mainland in Bjugn. Tarva is connected to the mainland via the Dybfest–Tarva Ferry.
